Seen from above, Guadeloupe looks like the emerald wings of a butterfly, the island being located in the lower crescent of the Caribbean archipelago, between the islands of Montserrat and Dominica, formed by two twin islands, Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre, and a small group of satellite islets. You will have a choice of optional excursions offered by the ship, because besides the spectacular white sand beaches, in Guadeloupe you can admire waterfalls, walk through mountain tropical forests, and learn many interesting facts by visiting cultural institutions dedicated to the pre-Hispanic peoples of the islands and the slave trade. The 87 km2 of the island are divided between two countries, France and the Netherlands, since 1648. The entire area has interesting evidence of the stages of colonization, both in the French part, Saint Martin, and in the Dutch part, Saint Maarten. Whether you choose to relax on Grand Case Beach, one of the most beautiful and quietest beaches on the island, taste the local rum made from 'guavaberry', or opt for a shopping session in the Marigot bazaar, you will surely feel wonderful in St. Maarten. Day 6: St. John’s (Antigua & Barbuda)
The vessel will enter the port located in St. John's on the island of Antigua at 07:00. The island was discovered in 1493 by Christopher Columbus, who named it after the church "Santa Maria La Antigua" in Seville. Occupied by the English in 1632, it gained its independence in 1981. In the south of the island, the settlement of English Harbour was established, which provided shelter for English ships against hurricanes in the Caribbean Sea. Today, English Harbour and the neighboring village of Falmouth are known as important sailing centers for those wishing to learn this sport. During Sailing Week, an annual regatta held in Antigua at the end of April and beginning of May, an impressive number of yachts and sailing enthusiasts arrive on the island. You can choose from excursions organized by the cruise ship or explore the picturesque town on your own. Having become an administrative center since 1632 when the area was colonized, St. John's was designated the capital of Antigua after gaining independence in 1981. Art lovers will be delighted to discover wonderful art galleries, as well as shops of famous jewelry designers, plus numerous malls with haute-couture clothing. Not to be missed is The Antigua Rum distillery, the only one on the island. At 19:00, the vessel will weigh anchor. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: St. John’s, English Harbour, art galleries, jewelry and fashion shops, Antigua Rum distillery.
Day 7: St. Kitts & Nevis (Basseterre)
On Christmas Eve, the vessel will anchor at 07:00 in Basseterre, the capital of St. Kitts & Nevis, where it will remain until 19:00. The name of this state comes from the adaptation of Christopher Columbus's name and the Spanish word "nieve" (snow), given that when Columbus arrived in these lands and saw the peak of the "mountain" covered in clouds, he suspected it was snow-capped. While the northern part is covered in meadows and is less populated, the southern part has a well-developed tourist infrastructure. The two islands are connected by ferries, making them easy to explore (Basseterre in St. Kitts and Charlestown in Nevis). If you choose to visit the capital Charlestown on your own, we recommend the botanical garden. If you prefer to stay on St. Kitts Island, the quiet volcanic island, you can either visit the former sugar cane plantations or the British Brimstone Hill Fortress. You can also opt for excursions organized by the cruise ship or relax on board, at the pools and restaurants. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: St. Kitts & Nevis, Basseterre, Charlestown, botanical garden, sugar cane plantations, Brimstone Hill Fortress.
Day 8: Roseau (Dominica Island)
On this Christmas Day, the ship will arrive at 07:00 in the port located in Roseau, the capital of the state of Dominica, the island of 365 rivers located in the West Indies, considered a true botanical garden, where you can also find thermal springs. Here is the Morne Trois Pitons National Park (National Park of the Three Peaks). This island was also discovered by Christopher Columbus, also on a Sunday like the Dominican Republic. The capital, Roseau, is a small town with approx. 15,000 inhabitants, with colorful architecture that can be admired from above, from the Morne Bruce viewpoint. The ship will leave the port at 19:00. Full board and accommodation on board. Merry Christmas! Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship
Day 9: Fort de France (Martinique)
The ship will return to Fort-de-France, on Martinique Island at 07:00. Free time for beach, individual visits, or to participate in one of the optional excursions offered by the cruise ship. Navigation will resume at 23:00. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Fort-de-France, exploration of Martinique Island.
Day 10: Pointe-a-Pitre (Guadeloupe)
On this day the ship will return to Guadeloupe, anchoring at 08:00 in the port of Pointe-a-Pitre, where it will remain until 19:00. The island can be explored through optional excursions, purchased from the ship. We recommend a visit to Guadeloupe National Park, a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve, to Valombreuse Botanical Garden, with its over 500 species of plants, or to Pointe des Châteaux, an incredible rock formation created by the wind. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe National Park, Valombreuse Botanical Garden, Pointe des Châteaux.
Day 11: Sailing
Free time to relax on board the luxury ship, an opportunity to enjoy one of the most generous Aquaparks on a cruise ship. You can stroll along the promenade that surrounds the ship, on its 323 meters, and in the evening you can enjoy the theater shows or try your luck at the onboard casino. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Sailing, Aquapark, ship promenade, Metropolitan Theater, Miami Casino.
Day 12: Bridgetown (Barbados)
At 07:00 the ship will arrive in Barbados, the easternmost island of the Lesser Antilles archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. Unlike the neighboring islands, Barbados is not of volcanic origin, but rather an emergence of submarine limestone mountains above sea level. The highest point on the island is Mount Hillaby, with an altitude of 336 m. The nearby islet, Culpepper Island, also belongs to Barbados. In the past, the entire island was covered by tropical forests, but now only a few wooded areas remain in Turner's Hall Wood, with the rest largely dedicated to sugarcane agriculture. The ship will anchor in Carlisle Bay, from where you can visit the city of Bridgetown and its surroundings. Founded by the English in 1628, Bridgetown is the capital and largest city of Barbados. The Arawak population that lived here had disappeared by the time the English first arrived on the island, but traces of this civilization have been discovered in the central area of the city. The city is an important financial and tourist center, with cruise ships docking here bringing numerous tourists eager to discover the beauties of the West Indies. The old center, which preserves traces of the ancient Arawak civilization, is full of brightly colored houses, which together with the city's Garrison were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2011. Broad Street is the main destination for tourists looking for shopping or moments of relaxation at restaurants with Caribbean menus. The ship will depart from the port at 21:00. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Bridgetown, Mount Hillaby, Carlisle Bay, old center and Garrison (UNESCO), Broad Street.
Day 13: Kingstown (Saint Vincent & Grenadines)
At 08:00 the ship will arrive in Kingstown, the capital and main port of the country of Saint Vincent & Grenadines. The city is located on St. Vincent Island, called Hairouna - 'Land of the Blessed' by the native Caribs. Starting in 1719, French settlers gained control of the island and began cultivating coffee, tobacco, indigo, cotton, and sugar cane. The island can be explored through optional excursions, purchased from the ship, which offer among others: a tour of Kingstown city, visits to the Botanical Garden, founded in 1765, one of the oldest in the northern hemisphere, and to the Montreal Gardens, located at approx. 1000 m altitude, designed by landscape architect Timothy Vaughan, respectively an excursion on the west coast of the island, to Dark View Waterfall and Wallilabou Bay, where sequences from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' were filmed. Navigation will resume at 19:00. Full board and accommodation on board. Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Kingstown, 1765 Botanical Garden, Montreal Gardens, Dark View Waterfall, Wallilabou Bay.
Day 14: Saint George (Grenada)
At 08:00 the ship will anchor in St. George, the capital of the island of Grenada, considered the flavor of the Caribbean, being the second smallest country in the western hemisphere, after Saint Kitts and Nevis. Famous for its spices such as nutmeg, Grenada and its islands Carriacou and Petit Martinique invite you to culinary exploration, rum tasting at award-winning distilleries, or tasting refined organic chocolate in the factories where it is produced. You can dive into the turquoise waters to discover the world's first underwater sculpture park or admire the lush landscape on a jeep tour. Benefiting from a warm climate all year round, the island has become a classic stop for cruise ships. You can purchase optional excursions from the ship or relax on board, at the pools and restaurants. The ship will head to the next port at 19:00. Full board and accommodation on board. Happy New Year 2027! Meals: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Saint George, rum distilleries, chocolate factories, underwater sculpture park, jeep tours.
Day 15: Castries (Saint Lucia)
On the first day of the new year, the ship will dock at 08:00 in the port of Castries, the capital of the island of Saint Lucia. The fine beaches, lush tropical forests, the two volcanic cones on the southeast coast of the island, Gros Piton (797 m high) and Petit Piton (750 m high), are the main points of interest in St. Lucia. The tropical climate attracts numerous tourists during the dry season to the island discovered by Christopher Columbus on his fourth voyage to the New World. The island was named after the saint celebrated on the day it was discovered. In 1814, it became a British colony, and in 1979, it proclaimed its independence within the Commonwealth, becoming its 40th member state. To visit the island and its capital, you can sign up for excursions organized from the ship. Among the points of interest are the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Derek Walcott Square, named after the St. Lucian poet who won the Nobel Prize in 1992, and Mome Fortune (Fortune Hill), from where you can admire the splendid panorama of the bay. The ship will depart from the port at 19:00. Full board and accommodation on board. Meal: Full board · Accommodation: Cruise ship · Transport: Cruise ship · Highlights: Castries, beaches, Gros Piton, Petit Piton, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Derek Walcott Square, Mome Fortune.
Day 16: Fort-de-France (Martinique) – Frankfurt
On this day, the ship will return to Martinique Island, anchoring at 07:00 in the port of Fort de France. After disembarkation formalities, we will meet our local guide and set off on an exclusive tour for our group to the Sacré Coeur de Balata Church, a smaller replica of the famous Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Paris. We will then visit the Balata Botanical Garden, a true delight for tropical flower enthusiasts, with palm trees and a suspension bridge offering impressive views. We will then head towards the old capital of Saint Pierre along the Route de la Trace to visit the ruins remaining after the devastating eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902. The city, once nicknamed the Paris of the Caribbean, has become a true Pompeii of the Caribbean. The gray walls, the ruins of the old city, and the memorial erected here bear witness to the disaster caused by the volcano, with each displayed object telling a story, and the bronze bell of St. Etienne du Centre Church, partially melted and crushed, being the centerpiece of this space. Creole lunch included at a local restaurant. We will then head to one of the most renowned rum distilleries, Domaine Depa, where we can taste the famous rum. We will then be transferred to the airport for departure to Frankfurt with Condor, charter flight DE 3715 (18:55 / 09:05). Meals: On the plane · Transport: Coach, Plane · Highlights: Fort-de-France, Sacré Coeur de Balata Church, Balata Botanical Garden, Route de la Trace, ruins of Saint Pierre, St. Etienne du Centre Church, Domaine Depa rum tasting.
Day 17: Frankfurt – Bucharest
From Frankfurt we will depart for Bucharest with Tarom, flight RO 306 (19:25 / 22:50). Transport: Plane
