Price: €499 / person Selected accommodation Hotel Continental Forum Sibiu – 4 stars We chose accommodation in Sibiu for all three nights, so participants do not have to move their luggage every day. The hotel is located very close to the historic center and offers quick access to the city's main tourist attractions. There are also parking options near the hotel for the group's minibus. If the hotel is not available during the chosen period, accommodation will be replaced with a similar 4-star unit in Sibiu's central area. Circuit itinerary Day 1 – Bucharest – Sibiu Morning departure from Bucharest with a modern 8+1 seat minibus, equipped with air conditioning and luggage space. Travel to Sibiu, with stops for rest and meals. After arrival and check-in, a walking tour of the historic center: - Piata Mare (Large Square); - Piata Mica (Small Square); - Podul Minciunilor (Bridge of Lies); - Piata Huet (Huet Square); - Evangelical Cathedral; - Turnul Sfatului (Council Tower); - Nicolae Balcescu Street. Sibiu is an important historical and cultural center, known also for the Brukenthal National Museum, one of the oldest museums in Romania. In the evening, a traditional dinner at a restaurant in the city center. Day 2 – Discovering Sibiu Breakfast at the hotel. Continue exploring the city of Sibiu: - Brukenthal National Museum; - Metropolitan Cathedral; - the walls and towers of the old fortress; - Pasajul Scarilor (Stairs Passage); - Casa Artelor (House of the Arts); - free time in the historic center. In the afternoon, an excursion to the Astra Museum of Traditional Folk Civilization, where households, workshops, and traditional buildings from various regions of Romania can be discovered. Return to the hotel and free time. Day 3 – Sighișoara and Biertan After breakfast, departure to Sighișoara. En route, a stop at the Fortified Church of Biertan, one of the most representative monuments of Saxon heritage in Transylvania. In Sighișoara, the following will be visited: - The Medieval Citadel; - Piata Cetatii (Citadel Square); - Turnul cu Ceas (Clock Tower); - Casa Vlad Dracul (Vlad Dracul House); - Scara Scolarilor (Schoolboys' Stairs); - Biserica din Deal (Church on the Hill); - the streets and guild towers. The historic center of Sighișoara is included in the UNESCO World Heritage and represents a very well-preserved example of a fortified medieval Saxon town. Free time for lunch, photos, and souvenir shopping. Return to Sibiu in the evening. Day 4 – Alba Iulia – Bucharest Breakfast and check-out. Departure to Alba Iulia and visit of the Alba Carolina Citadel. - The Third Gate of the Citadel; - Coronation Cathedral; - "Saint Michael" Roman Catholic Cathedral; - Sala Unirii (Union Hall); - National Museum of the Union; - The Route of the Three Fortifications; - the bastion area and inner squares. Alba Carolina Citadel brings together sites associated with the Great Union of 1918 and the coronation of King Ferdinand and Queen Maria, alongside historical monuments such as St. Michael's Cathedral. After the visit, departure towards Bucharest, with stops for meals and rest. Estimated arrival in the evening. Istanbul - The City That Never Sleeps
Day 1 Bucharest – Giurgiu – Edirne – Istanbul | Day 2 We cross Bulgaria, enter Turkey and head to the hotel to complete the check-in formalities, free time to rest, accommodation at a 4* hotel. From 7:30 PM we offer you a Bosphorus cruise (optional, at 60 euros/person, with dinner, drinks included and entertainment program – the price is indicative and may change) to admire both the Asian and European shores, the area being full of villas, each more opulent than the last. Day 3 We will walk to the Suleymaniye Mosque, where Suleiman the Magnificent and his wife, Hürrem, are buried, after which we head to Sultanahmet, where we can visit: the Blue Mosque (free entry), Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern (entry fees not included). From 6:30 PM we offer you the opportunity of an optional excursion "Night Tour" (35 euros/person) – crossing the Bosphorus Bridge from European Istanbul to Asian Istanbul, up Camlica Hill, for a panorama of Istanbul at night + Camlica Mosque – the largest mosque in Turkey! It is one of the most impressive European-style palaces in Istanbul. Dolmabahce Palace, commissioned by Sultan Abdülmecid I in the mid-19th century, marked a shift in Ottoman architecture and design. The palace was built with a clear European influence, highlighting a departure from the traditional Ottoman architectural style. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to explore various sections, including the Ceremonial Hall, the Imperial Harem and the sultan's private apartments. The Dolmabahce Clock Tower, the Palace Mosque and the grand gardens enhance the palace's charm. The palace's most iconic feature is undoubtedly the Crystal Staircase, a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The stunning crystal chandelier in the Ceremonial Hall is another attraction that highlights the palace's unparalleled opulence. Dolmabahce Palace also holds a significant place in Turkey's history, as it is where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent his last days. His room has been preserved as a museum, allowing visitors to pay tribute to the founding father of modern Turkey. The center of the Ortakoy neighborhood and the Ortakoy Mosque, which is among the most beautiful mosques in Istanbul. Located right before the Bosphorus, the Ortakoy Mosque has an absolutely superb view. This is why the Ortakoy Mosque, at sunset and sunrise, offers its visitors the most photogenic opportunities imaginable. Due to the mosque's unique location, the Ortakoy Mosque and the Bosphorus Bridge are very close. The Ortakoy Mosque is situated in an open-air square in Ortakoy, one of the quirkiest and most historic neighborhoods in Istanbul.
