Tour in the Heart of Cappadocia
Day 1 Departure from Bucharest (Victoriei Square) on the route Giurgiu - Ruse - Kapikule. We cross Bulgaria and head towards Turkey. We cross the Dardanelles Strait on the new bridge and head to the hotel in Çanakkale. Day 2 We check in and have free time. Dinner at the hotel in Çanakkale. Day 3 After breakfast, we head to Kusadasi (430 km), but not before visiting the Trojan Horse. We take the cable car to the ancient city of Pergamon - an ancient Greek city located in the Aeolis region, in present-day Turkey, 26 km from the Aegean Sea, on a promontory on the northern side of the Caicus River (now Bakırçay). The city became the capital of the Kingdom of Pergamon during the Hellenistic period, under the Attalid dynasty, 281-133 BC. Parchment was invented here, and its name comes from the city's name. Check-in at the hotel in Kusadasi and dinner. Day 4 Breakfast and check-out. Visit to the House of the Virgin Mary and the Tomb of Saint John (optional). We leave for Pamukkale (200 km). We visit the huge natural travertine cascade, which resembles a great cotton castle. Pamukkale is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. We will visit the ruins of Hierapolis - the Sacred City and the famous limestone formations. Check-in and dinner in Pamukkale. Day 5 Breakfast. Check-out. We head to Cappadocia (620 km). On the way, we will stop in the city of Konya to see the Mevlana Museum and, if we have time, we will also visit Sultanhani - the largest Seljuk caravanserai, in the city of Aksaray. Check-in and dinner at the hotel in Cappadocia. Day 6 Breakfast. Optional hot air balloon ride (if possible). In Cappadocia, we visit the underground city of Kaymaklı, the Göreme open-air museum, and Pigeon Valley. Turkish evening in Cappadocia. Day 7 Breakfast and check-out. We head to Istanbul, but not without stopping in Ankara to visit the Mausoleum of Atatürk (740 km). Check-in at the hotel in Istanbul. Day 8 Breakfast. Optional cruise to the Princes' Islands. Optional Bosphorus cruise with dinner included. Day 9 Breakfast and check-out. Departure home on the route Edirne - Ruse - Giurgiu - Bucharest. The set price is for one place in a double room. Day 1 Bucharest – Giurgiu – Edirne – Istanbul | Day 2 We cross Bulgaria, enter Turkey and head to the hotel to complete the check-in formalities, free time to rest, accommodation at a 4* hotel. From 7:30 PM we offer you a Bosphorus cruise (optional, at 60 euros/person, with dinner, drinks included and entertainment program – the price is indicative and may change) to admire both the Asian and European shores, the area being full of villas, each more opulent than the last. Day 3 We will walk to the Suleymaniye Mosque, where Suleiman the Magnificent and his wife, Hürrem, are buried, after which we head to Sultanahmet, where we can visit: the Blue Mosque (free entry), Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern (entry fees not included). From 6:30 PM we offer you the opportunity of an optional excursion "Night Tour" (35 euros/person) – crossing the Bosphorus Bridge from European Istanbul to Asian Istanbul, up Camlica Hill, for a panorama of Istanbul at night + Camlica Mosque – the largest mosque in Turkey! A grand mosque with six minarets, capable of hosting over 60,000 worshippers! Day 4 After breakfast we will head to Viaport Marina in Tuzla, Istanbul, which is a luxury multifunctional complex located by the sea, offering a unique combination of shopping (open-air outlet), entertainment and a modern marina. It includes an amusement park (Tuzla Viasea), aquarium, Lion Park, restaurants and a 5-star hotel. It is a popular destination for families, offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It includes: theme parks – one of the fastest roller coasters in Turkey. Aquarium: Viasea Aquarium houses various marine creatures. Lion Park: a park specialized in big cats. Viaport Marina functions as a complete social hub, ideal for spending an entire day in Istanbul. Zoo and aquarium entry price – 35 euros/person. On the way back we will go to the sweets shop with Turkish specialties. Price 45 euros/person. Day 5 After breakfast we will head to Dolmabahce Palace. It is one of the most impressive European-style palaces in Istanbul. Dolmabahce Palace, commissioned by Sultan Abdülmecid I in the mid-19th century, marked a shift in Ottoman architecture and design. The palace was built with a clear European influence, highlighting a departure from the traditional Ottoman architectural style. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to explore various sections, including the Ceremonial Hall, the Imperial Harem and the sultan's private apartments. The Dolmabahce Clock Tower, the Palace Mosque and the grand gardens enhance the palace's charm. The palace's most iconic feature is undoubtedly the Crystal Staircase, a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The stunning crystal chandelier in the Ceremonial Hall is another attraction that highlights the palace's unparalleled opulence. Dolmabahce Palace also holds a significant place in Turkey's history, as it is where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent his last days. His room has been preserved as a museum, allowing visitors to pay tribute to the founding father of modern Turkey. The center of the Ortakoy neighborhood and the Ortakoy Mosque, which is among the most beautiful mosques in Istanbul. Located right before the Bosphorus, the Ortakoy Mosque has an absolutely superb view. This is why the Ortakoy Mosque, at sunset and sunrise, offers its visitors the most photogenic opportunities imaginable. Due to the mosque's unique location, the Ortakoy Mosque and the Bosphorus Bridge are very close. The Ortakoy Mosque is situated in an open-air square in Ortakoy, one of the quirkiest and most historic neighborhoods in Istanbul. Day 3 – Ephesus – Church of Saint John – House of the Virgin Mary Breakfast and departure towards Selçuk. The day is dedicated to the main religious and historical sites in the area of ancient Ephesus. The program includes: the archaeological site of Ephesus; the Church and Tomb of Saint John the Evangelist; the Meryem Ana complex – the House of the Virgin Mary; a stop at the area of the Temple of Artemis, depending on available time. Visits will be carried out with a local guide. Return to Kuşadası, dinner and accommodation. Day 4 – Kuşadası – Hierapolis – Pamukkale Breakfast and departure towards Pamukkale. Visits include: the ancient city of Hierapolis; the area of former baths and temples; the ancient necropolis; the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale. After the visits, accommodation in Pamukkale or Denizli and dinner. Accommodation in the Pamukkale area. Day 5 – Pamukkale – Cappadocia Breakfast and departure towards Cappadocia. The journey will take up most of the day, with stops for rest and meals. Arrival in the Nevşehir or Ürgüp area, room assignment and dinner. Accommodation in Cappadocia. Day 6 – Göreme and the rock-cut churches of Cappadocia Breakfast and a tour of the Cappadocia region, accompanied by a local guide. The program may include: the Göreme Open Air Museum; the Christian churches and chapels carved into the rock; Pigeon Valley; panoramic viewpoints over the volcanic formations; the towns of Ürgüp and Uçhisar; traditional pottery or carpet workshops.
