This journey reveals the contrasts of Kazakhstan: futuristic cities, sacred history, majestic mountains and untouched nature. Travellers explore the modern capital Astana, the alpine landscapes of Almaty, and the spectacular canyons and lakes of southeastern Kazakhstan. Day 1 – Arrival in Astana Arrival at Nazarbayev International Airport. Meet and greet with the guide and transfer to the hotel. An introductory city walk including the Grand Mosque, Bayterek Tower, and Nurzhol Boulevard. Day 2 – One-day Tour to Burabay National Park Visits: National Park Tour, Lake Burabay Boat Tour, Hiking to Mount Bolektau, Maral farm, Abylai Khan Museum, the Nature Museum, Zhumbaktas Mountain, Okzhetpes Mountain [PLACE PHOTO – Burabay lake and mountains] Day 3 – Astana City Tour Visits: The Museum and Memorial Complex of Victims of Political Repression and Totalitarianism «ALZHIR», EXPO 2017 area, National Museum of Kazakhstan, Palace of Peace and Reconciliation Day 4 – One-day Tour to Buiratau National Park Visits: the archaeological-ethnographic complex Kumai, ancient stones of Turkic periods ‘bal-bal’ (I-VI centuries), salt lakes (Lake Azhbai and Bozaigyr), mountains Day 5 – Astana. Traditional Kazakh art and culture Visits: Private Museum of Household Items and Jewellery «Zerger-Berik» (At the museum, visitors can explore traditional Kazakh culture, including household items and jewellery). Alasha Art Center of Bulbul Master (crafting yurts, creation of the interior decorations of arts (baskur, zhelbau), traditional weaving of carpets in the Kazakh style (alasha)) Day 6 – Trip to Almaty city (Astana-Almaty flight) Transfer to airport and domestic flight to Almaty. Visits: Republic Square, Kok Tobe (cable car ride and sightseeing), Shymbulak resort, Medeu Ice rink Day 7 – Charyn Canyon Departure for a two-day nature tour. Visit Charyn Canyon (Valley of Castles) with scenic walking routes. Day 8 – Kolsai & Kaindy Lakes Visits: Black Canyon, Kolsay and Kayindy lakes. Day 9 – Departure Transfer to Almaty International Airport for departure.
