Day 1 Bucharest – Giurgiu – Edirne – Istanbul | Day 2 We cross Bulgaria, enter Turkey and head to the hotel to complete the check-in formalities, free time to rest, accommodation at a 4* hotel. The palace was built with a clear European influence, highlighting a departure from the traditional Ottoman architectural style. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to explore various sections, including the Ceremonial Hall, the Imperial Harem and the sultan's private apartments. The Dolmabahce Clock Tower, the Palace Mosque and the grand gardens enhance the palace's charm. The palace's most iconic feature is undoubtedly the Crystal Staircase, a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The stunning crystal chandelier in the Ceremonial Hall is another attraction that highlights the palace's unparalleled opulence. Dolmabahce Palace also holds a significant place in Turkey's history, as it is where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent his last days. His room has been preserved as a museum, allowing visitors to pay tribute to the founding father of modern Turkey. The center of the Ortakoy neighborhood and the Ortakoy Mosque, which is among the most beautiful mosques in Istanbul. Located right before the Bosphorus, the Ortakoy Mosque has an absolutely superb view. This is why the Ortakoy Mosque, at sunset and sunrise, offers its visitors the most photogenic opportunities imaginable. Due to the mosque's unique location, the Ortakoy Mosque and the Bosphorus Bridge are very close. The Ortakoy Mosque is situated in an open-air square in Ortakoy, one of the quirkiest and most historic neighborhoods in Istanbul. Accommodation in Ohrid. **Day 4 – Bay of Bones – Trpejca – Monastery of Saint Naum** Morning departure along the eastern shore of Lake Ohrid. The first stop will be at the Bay of Bones, where a reconstruction of a prehistoric settlement built on stilts over the water can be visited. The program continues with: - a stop in the fishing village of Trpejca; - a walk along the lakeshore; - time for photos; - visiting the Monastery of Saint Naum; - the church and tomb of Saint Naum; - the springs of the Black Drin; - an optional boat ride on the springs. Depending on the weather, a period of relaxation on one of the beaches in the Trpejca or Saint Naum area may also be included. Return to Ohrid. Accommodation in Ohrid. **Day 5 – Struga, Vevčani and relaxation by the lake** Departure to Struga, a town located on the northern side of Lake Ohrid. Visit: the center of Struga; the promenade; the bridges over the Black Drin; the area where the river leaves Lake Ohrid; the market and the main streets. The program continues to Vevčani, a locality known for: its natural springs; traditional houses; old narrow streets; mountain landscapes. In the afternoon, return to Ohrid and time for relaxation on the lake shore. You can choose one of the following options: beach and swimming in Lake Ohrid; boat ride; sunset cruise; relaxation at a beach bar; return to the Church of Saint John at Kaneo for sunset photos; traditional farewell dinner. The beach areas in Ohrid may offer sunbeds and umbrellas, but they do not have the tropical vegetation and palm trees from the two photos taken at a seaside resort. Accommodation in Ohrid. Day 6 – Ohrid – Bucharest Early morning check-out and departure to Romania. Return route: Ohrid – Sofia – Ruse – Giurgiu – Bucharest Regular stops for rest and meals. Arrival in Bucharest and end of the vacation.
